USC Alumni Club of Houston Board
The Board is comprised of a dynamic group of enthusiastic volunteers who work hard to promote Trojan Spirit and strengthen the Trojan Family in our area. If you are a proud USC Alumnus who works well with others and wants to get involved, whether as an active participant or an occasional volunteer, email any of the Board members for more information.

2016-17 President: Wagner Grams

The President manages the Club and serves as its primary liaison with the Alumni Association. He or she also conducts monthly board meetings, oversees the updating and maintaining of member lists, manages and provides all Club records and alumni data, and attends Alumni Club leadership conferences and the annual Alumni Association leadership training. In addition, the President appoints leaders to head any special committees that are created.

2016-17 Vice-President:
The Vice-President/Program Chair assists the President in managing the Club, takes over in the President’s absence, attends the Alumni Association leadership training along with the President, and generally becomes Club President at the time of board succession. Responsibilities include:

• Maintains positive rapport with other clubs
• Focuses on increasing membership participation

2016-17 Treasurer:
The Treasurer is responsible for providing the Alumni House and the
University with all required financial reports and quarterly Club bank
statements, and ensures that the Club meets all financial and accounting standards. Responsibilities include:

• Reports financial status at each board meeting
• Resolves club debits and credits in a timely fashion
• Leads club scholarship efforts

2016-17 Secretary:
The Secretary takes notes during meetings, and prepares agendas.

Webmaster:
The webmaster manages the online presence of the club — designing, maintaining, and updating the club website.

Scholarship Chair:
The Scholarship Chair organizes and heads the Scholarship Committee, which reviews applications for Alumni Scholarships (students apply through the university). Conducts interviews with finalists and reports decisions to the Alumni Association. Works closely with the Treasurer and the Board in general on final award decisions.

Fundraising Chair:
The Fundraising Chair leads the club in raising money for operations, social activities, and scholarship awards. Works closely with the Treasurer and Scholarship Chair, and also has an active role in social events.

Communications Chair
The Communications Chair works closely with the Social Chair and other board members to promote the club’s goals and vision.

• Creates content for advertisements
• Creates appropriate marketing/advertising strategy for club events

Social Chair
The Social Chair is responsible for organizing diverse club events, making sure that events are aligned with alumni association’s visions and goals. Works closely with planning committee members to implement signature club events. Responsibilities include:

• Membership’s main club contact for events
• Coordinates volunteers

SCend Off Representative
The SCend Off Representative is responsible for the annual SCend Off, a celebration which welcomes new Trojans before they head to college.

Game Watch Chair:
The Game Watch Chair organizes the Game Watches held every season.
